Paula Laurila
Paula has been involved in making theatre in Finland for the past fifteen years. After several years of training in various amateur productions (Ylioppilasteatteri, Kellariteatteri) and theatre workshops, she began work as a professional actress and dancer. In Finland, Paula has worked with companies Myllyteatteri, Vapaa Vyöhyke, Teatteri Talvi and Helsingin Taiteellinen Teatteri. She furthered her training in Lahden Kansanopisto and with Sue Morrison on the Clowning through Masks course in Canada. Her strength and interest in physical theatre led her to study in France at the Ecole Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq. She completed her physical theatre studies in the summer of 2014 and is currently developing her work as a theatre maker and clown in Helsinki. Paula also works with UK based circus charity The Flying Seagull Project, creating clowning shows and workshops for children.
